While Genius Gems is best suited for ages 4 and up during peak times (after school, holidays and weekends), we have carefully tailored an experience for children ages 2-5 years of age during weekday non-holiday mornings. 

Yes, adults and kids ages 2 and older do need tickets. Our weekday pricing is designed to be a lower cost option at $19.99 + tax per person. If you would like an experience that includes the adult ticket, we recommend signing up for the Preschool STEM Lab class, which includes a child and one caregiver. The Preschool STEM Lab class meets on Wednesdays or Fridays. We also have membership options, which include an adult in the membership. 

In general, your ticket to Genius Gems entitles you to a 90 minute visit. We do enforce this rule strictly on busy weekends and holidays. Having said that, during weekdays, if it is not too busy, we are open to allowing families to stay longer, as long as it is not too busy.

We have invested significantly in safety at Genius Gems. We have installed magnetic lock doors (interior and exterior). We have a two way video intercom to monitor who is coming into our space at all times. We have over 20 security cameras throughout our space, and we regularly train our staff on emergency procedures. We have first aid kits, and benadryl for emergencies.  Our staff is present and well trained to enforce rules strictly, and to ensure safety at all times.

Our three main rules at Genius Gems are no running, no knocking down projects on purpose (even a project you built yourself), and no climbing or jumping on the furniture. We do expect all guests, even younger kids, to follow these rules. There are designated areas such as our ELEMENTS room, our wind tunnel stations, and our Superspace tiles that are well suited for the under four age group. Some children in this age group also love magnetic tiles, and we have the largest collection in the world! They are welcome to build with our tiles as long as they are able to follow our rules. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times. Genius Gems general admission tickets and the Preschool STEM class must be attended with a caregiver. These are not drop off programs.

Yes we do! We serve healthy snacks, fresh pizza, fries, shakes, coffee, wine and beer in our cafe area. If you have an allergy or a dietary restriction, you may bring your own food. However, we do not permit impromptu parties with cake, pizza, and cupcakes in our cafe. Only families that wish to purchase a birthday package may bring their own cake or cupcakes. In general, our parties are for ages 5/6 and older. 

Yes, we do offer membership! You can read more about memberhsip on our membership page, however, the basic cost of membership includes one adult and up to 2 kids for $199 + tax per month. Members receive a unique member code, and we ask them to make an online reservation using their unique code. Members can visit up to one time slot per day, 7 days a week! There may be select blackout times due to private events, but in general, members can come back every day, and many of our members do! 
If you purchase general admission tickets and decide on the SAME day to buy a membership, please email us at information@geniusgems.com, and we will apply up to $50 maximum of your ticket price towards the membership. Unfortunately, we are not able to apply more than this amount towards to your membership. 

As parents ourselves, we are very focused on cleanliness. We have a professional cleaning team that cleans our space in the evenings. We have a commercial autoscrubbing machine that we use daily to clean our floors. We frequently wipe down surfaces with Chlorox wipes, and we ensure our toys are properly sanitized. In our Superspace tile area, kids and adults are asked to remove their shoes in order to maintain a clean carpet. We have hand sanitizer stations. We also have changing stations and diaper pails in each bathroom, and we have dedicated staff tidying up our space throughout the day. If you notice that an area is not clean, please kindly notify a staff member so we can ensure our space is clean at all times. 

Yes, we do! Our parties are best suited for ages 5/6 and older. If you are interested in renting out our full space for a 4 year old birthday, or hosting a 4 year old party at a non-peak time such as a weekday, please email us at information@geniusgems.com and we are happy to see if this would be possible. At this time, weekend parties are only for ages 5 and older. 

General admission is offered throughout the day, and is self-guided, although we do have staff available to assist. Our Preschool STEM Lab class is a caregiver and me, structured class that includes a science experiment, a story, a bubble show, and sensory bin exploration time.

Yes, we do ask all customers to purchase tickets on our website. Unfortunately, we do not sell tickets in our store. If you have any issues with purchasing tickets, please email us at information@geniusgems.com and we will do our best to help. 

In general, we ask customers to stick as closely to the scheduled time slot on weekends. During the week, as long as it's not that busy, we do our best to be flexible. If you cannot make your time slot, please email us at information@geniusgems.com to request to switch your reservation to another day. Unfortunately, as per our policies, we are not able to offer refunds for missed time slots.

There is no charge for children 23 months and younger if they are accompanying an older sibling. However, if a child age 23 months or younger decides to attend without a sibling, then they would need a ticket.
