Summer 2025 STEM Camp (Millburn, NJ)
Join us for Summer 2025 in Millburn, NJ for your best summer of STEM yet! With exciting weekly themes such as Maker Lab, Chemistry Lab, and Coding & Robots your camper (grades K-6) will be engaged in hands-on, project-based STEM learning in an engaging small group setting.
Your camper must be at least 5 years of age (by the date of camp) and entering Kindergarten or older in the fall of 2025 to enroll. Our activities are designed based on appropriate requirements for each age and grade level. This is a firm grade level and age requirement.
Almost all of our weeks sold out last summer, so sign up early to reserve your spot. Please read our cancellation policy prior to registering. This policy is part of the checkout process, and we will be unable to make exceptions to our policy.We are looking forward to a fun-filled summer of STEM!
If you are enrolled for a camp at CBI, please pack a snack, lunch, water, bug spray, sunscreen, and a hat to each day of camp.
Half day campers at our Millburn location, please pack a snack, water, sunscreen and a hat if needed for our outdoor terrace.

- Half Day: 3 hour day (9-12 or 12:30-3:30 pm) - $399 per week. All half day camps will be held at our Millburn location. Please select either AM or PM, not both. For full day, please book our CBI Genius Gems location only.
- Full day: 9-3 pm $599 per week. All full day camps are run by Genius Gems, but take place at Congregation B’nai Israel (just down the street from our Millburn location).
- 8:30 am drop off: $50 per week
- Aftercare at GG Millburn: (3/3:30-5 pm) $150 per week. Please note that campers enrolled at CBI will be walked by our counselors to GG Millburn for aftercare. Pick up after 5:10 PM will be charged a $20 late fee per day.

This summer, Genius Gems is excited to be offering a full day session of our Genius Gems Summer Camp, hosted at Congregation B’nai Israel (CBI) in Millburn! All of the things you love about Genius Gems, from science experiments to our collection of magnetic tiles, will be available to campers at this offsite location. CBI also boasts multiple large classrooms and a full outdoor playground! We are pleased to be returning for a second year to the CBI location.
If you are enrolled for a camp at CBI, please pack a snack, lunch, water, bug spray, sunscreen, and a hat in a labed backpack.
Congregation B’nai Israel (CBI) is located at 160 Millburn Avenue, just down the street from our Millburn location. All campers enrolled in our Full Day programs are to be dropped off at CBI at the back parking lot entrance, including those registered for early drop off. All after care programs will take place at Genius Gems Millburn. Following camp, our staff will escort all campers enrolled in after care (3-5 pm) to Genius Gems Millburn (less than a 10 minute walk), and campers will be picked up from Genius Gems Millburn.
If you camper is unable to attend camp for any reason, we are unfortunately unable to offer make-ups. If you have any questions about this policy, please email us at information@geniusgems.com.
1. For cancellation requests received prior to March 1, 2025, we will refund 90% of your payment.
2. For cancellation requests received between March 2, 2025 and May 1, 2025, we will refund 50% of your payment.
3. After May 1, 2024, no refunds or credits will be given.
You may email us your refund request at information@geniusgems.com and our response (within 24 hours) will be confirmation of receipt of your email. If you do not hear from us then we have not received your request.
4. You may switch to another week if there is availability. There is no charge for the first switch. Subsequent switches will result in a charge of $15 per switch.
Neither refunds nor credits will be given:
-If a child is asked to leave the program due to behavioral issues, including a child not following rules or instructions from Genius Gems staff.
-If a child missed a day or more of camp, or dropped out of camp early.
-A family moves and can no longer attend camp.
-If a family decides they no longer wish to participate in the program for any reason.
-If a child is not yet fully potty trained at the beginning of camp. This is a requirement to attend our camp.
-All campers must be entering Kindergarten or older, and at least five years of age by the time their camp week begins to attend.
-If you are enrolled in full day camp hosted at CBI and decide you are no longer comfortable attending Genius Gems Camp at an offsite location, we are unable to offer refunds or credits.
-If you are enrolled in full day at CBI, and your child decides they prefer a half day at our regular Genius Gems program, we can make a switch only if there is availability. Unfortunately, we do not offer credits or refunds for the price difference.
-We do not offer any full day programs at our regular location. ALL full day campers must attend at the CBI location.
Camper Expectations
- Campers must be entering Kindergarten in the fall of 2025 and at least 5 years of age by the time their camp week begins.
- Campers must be 100% toilet trained and be able to use the bathroom independently to attend
- Campers must be able to consistently follow directions and adhere to safety protocols
- Campers must be able to conduct themselves with respect to counselors and other campers. This includes being able to keep hands to themselves at all times.
All half day camp pick up and drop off will be on the FRONT TERRACE of Genius Gems. Please walk your child around front and drop them off at the designated start time. On the first day of camp only, parents can drop off at the parking lot entrance.
All full day camp pick up and drop off will be at Congregation B’nai Israel in Millburn (CBI is located at 160 Millburn Avenue, just down the street from our Millburn location).
All after care pick up will be at the parking lot door (main entrance) of Genius Gems Millburn. Before care drop off corresponds to the location at which you attend camp.
All authorized pick up adults must be listed on the emergency contact form. Parents must sign out their child each day. Thank you for being on time!
Parents and caregivers are not permitted to stay at Genius Gems during camp, unless they have been given special permission or asked to remain on site by our staff. All campers must be able to be dropped off and separate from their parents successfully to remain at camp.
Is there a cost to apply? Am I committed once I apply?
There is no cost to apply, and no commitment. If your application is approved, you are not obligated to register!
What if my child is almost 5, but not yet entering Kindergarten in the Fall of 2024?
Unfortunately we have a firm age requirement, and our campers need to be in the apparopriate grade level and age in order to participate in our program.
Are you a nut-free facility?
We are allergy aware, but unfortunately we are not a nut free facility.
What if my child has special needs?
We do have campers with learning differences, but if your child is not in a general aducation classroom during the year, or if they require a SEIT or paraprofessional, then please email us at information@geniusgems.com before registering to see if we can accomodate your camper..
What if I need to cancel my camp registration?
Please read our cancellation policy before registering. We do need to stick to our policies. Unfortunately, after the cancellation deadlines, we will not be able to offer refunds, credits, or makeups for cancelled camps.
Why do you contact teachers for a recommendation?
Due to the collaborative nature of our programs, we want to ensure that our program is the best fit for each child.
What should my camper pack?
Please pack a hat, sunscreen, a lunch (labeled), a snack, and a water bottle with their name on it. We prefer that all student items are in a backpack. Please leave any valuables or toys at home.
Inventors Lab: Engineering Camp
Welcome to Inventors Lab with 3D Printing and more! This camp immerses young makers in design, engineering, and coding. Younger campers will use unplugged robots and design DIY inventions, while older campers will create hands-on projects using tools like Microbit and Tinkercad. Campers will code sensors and create motorized projects. Our older campers will learn about 3D printing, bringing ideas to life, working on projects like smart sensors and wearable tech. This camp is perfect for budding inventors, combining creativity with cutting-edge tech, leaving campers with valuable skills and projects they’ll be proud to showcase!
Wizards & Wonders: Enchanted Science Camp
Step into a world where magic and science meet! At Wizards & Wonders Camp, young wizards-in-training will learn to craft magic potions and discover secret spells while unraveling the mysteries of the natural world. Campers will create photochromatic slime, and brew color-changing concoctions. They'll get hands-on with microscopes; and campers will melt chocolate to create chocolate frogs. Campers will craft prism keychains, and make sun-powered art. Every day brings a new spellbinding experiment that combines the wonder of wizardry with the thrill of science!
LEGO® Engineering Lab
At LEGO® Engineering Lab camp, campers will embark on an exciting journey through topics that blend architectural wonders and moving machines, bringing each to life through hands-on building. They’ll create skyscrapers, while learning about structures, and dive into mechanics by building motorized brick projects to understand motion and power. In our robotics lab, campers will code robots to tackle challenges like navigating mazes, giving them an introduction to programming and problem-solving. To top it off, campers bring their creations into storytelling, animating brick scenes and crafting narratives with stop-motion, letting imagination fuel every project!
Coding and Robots
Explore the exciting world of coding and robots in this hands-on course designed by educators and programmers! Students will learn block coding fundamentals through interactive projects, including programming MicroBit® and navigating Cubetto® obstacle courses. Campers will design computer games with Scratch or Scratch Jr,, create art using Sphero®, and meet an Apple and Google alum to understand real-world coding applications. Older students (grades 4-6) will delve into coding with VEX® robotics, and they will get a chance to learn Python with Python graphics, building a strong foundation in advanced programming. Join us and discover how coding brings ideas to life!
Maker Lab Camp
Join us for an innovative and hands-on adventure at our Maker Lab Camp! Perfect for creative minds, this camp invites participants to explore the exciting world of design and crafting. Campers will create custom wearable LED jewelry that lights up their projects, design and 3D print personalized charms, and DIY light up bags. From high-tech creations to tactile masterpieces, this camp offers a blend of technology, art, and fun that will inspire young makers to think outside the box and bring their ideas to life!
Mad Science Camp
Get ready for a summer packed with explosive fun and scientific discovery at our Mad Science Summer Camp! This hands-on camp is perfect for budding scientists who love to experiment and explore. Create erupting volcanoes and dive deep into exciting acid-base reactions, observing their colorful and bubbly effects. Conduct density experiments to see how different substances layer and interact, and study the fascinating differences in density between oil, water, and alcohol-based materials. Use microscope lenses to observe various samples up close. With an engaging mix of chemistry and biology, this camp is sure to spark curiosity and creativity!
Slime Lab Camp
Slime aficionados, welcome to Slime Lab Camp, where you’ll reach slime nirvana on a magical journey through the science of slime, states of matter, and chemical reactions! Dive into the fascinating world of slime-making as you create magnetic slime, unicorn slime, cloud slime, beach slime, and even color-changing slime. Take your creations to the next level by designing your own branded slime using our unique, laser-cut Glitter Tile material. Campers will also explore the basics of marketing and video content creation, crafting and promoting their very own slime brand. This camp blends science, creativity, and entrepreneurial skills for an unforgettable experience!
Chemistry Lab Camp
Gear up for a summer full of explosive fun and hands-on scientific discovery at our Chemistry Lab Camp! Designed for scientists with a passion for experimentation, this camp offers a range of scientific explorations. Create foamy elephant toothpaste, experiment with non-Newtonian fluids like slime, and make your own bath bombs that fizz and dissolve in water. At least one of the experiments will be edible! This camp promises a summer of curiosity, hands-on fun, and unforgettable chemical adventures!
Camp Innovate: Build, Code, Create!
This week of camp captures the excitement of 3D printing, engineering, inventions, and coding in one dynamic camp week. Through hands-on projects, campers will dive into the world of innovation, problem-solving, and creativity as they explore how technology shapes the world around us.Sample projects include designing and 3D-printing personalized keychains, or customized board game pieces. Campers will engineer inventions like LED robots or marble mazes, learning to combine LEDs with creative design. They’ll also dive into coding, programming interactive animations, simple games, or gadgets powered by MicroBit® (older campers) or other programmable robots. Older campers will collaborate on complex projects like Rube Goldberg machines or programmable vehicles to tackle obstacle courses. Each day brings new challenges that empower campers to think big, create boldly, and bring their ideas to life, all while building STEM skills in a fun and innovative environment.
