Genius Gems Class Programs 2026
This policy applies to all Genius Gems Class Programs.
By enrolling in a Genius Gems class and submitting payment, you acknowledge and agree to the terms below.
All deadlines are based on Eastern Time (ET) and are determined by the date and time we receive your written email request.
Definition of Class Tuition
For purposes of this policy, “class tuition” includes all amounts paid for the class program, including base tuition and any add-on services (such as before care, after care, or other optional services), unless expressly stated otherwise below.
Refund Schedule (Strict Deadlines)
- On or before February 28, 2026 (11:59 PM ET): 90% refund of class tuition paid.
- March 1, 2026 through March 15, 2026 (11:59 PM ET): 50% refund of class tuition paid.
- On or after March 16, 2026: No refunds or credits will be issued.
No exceptions will be made to these deadlines. This includes (but is not limited to) cancellation requests due to schedule changes, relocation, illness, travel plans, extracurricular conflicts, or any other reason.
All cancellation requests must be made in writing to information@geniusgems.com. We will not consider requests made via phone.
Before Care and After Care Pricing
Beginning at 12:00 AM ET on the first day of the semester, the cost of before care and after care may increase. Updated pricing will be determined by Genius Gems and posted on our website.
Individual-day before/after care purchases are expected to be more expensive than semester-based purchases.
Class Section Transfers (Instead of Cancellation)
Families may request to switch to another class only if space is available.
- Each student is allowed one class section switch per semester at no additional cost.
- Additional schedule change requests may incur a $10 administrative fee per change.
- If switching to a class with a lower tuition cost, no refunds will be issued. The difference will be provided as store credit only.
- Transfers do not reset or extend cancellation deadlines.
How to Request a Cancellation or Transfer
- All requests must be submitted in writing by email to: information@geniusgems.com
- Requests made by phone, in person, or through staff members will not be accepted.
- You will receive an email confirmation within 24 hours acknowledging receipt.
- If you do not receive confirmation, your request has not been received.
Additional Support and Supervision Needs
Genius Gems welcomes all students and strives to create an inclusive and supportive environment.
Some children may require one-on-one support in order to participate safely and successfully. If Genius Gems determines that this level of support is necessary, options may include:
- A parent or guardian serving as the one-on-one support person
- The family arranging a qualified support person
- Genius Gems attempting to arrange support (subject to availability)
If Genius Gems provides support, the cost will be no less than $20 per hour, billed in addition to tuition.
If appropriate support cannot be arranged, the student may be withdrawn from the program in accordance with this policy.
Snow Day, Inclement Weather, or Other Genius Gems Class Cancellation
In the event that Genius Gems cancels a class due to weather (including snow days), facility issues, or any other reason within the discretion of Genius Gems, families will be offered one of the following options:
- A general admission visit for one adult and one child to be used during the same semester; or
- An additional makeup class, to be scheduled by the parent or caregiver during the existing semester.
Makeup classes are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed to occur within the same class section in which the cancellation took place.
Genius Gems does not offer refunds or credits in these situations.
Public Health Closures
If Genius Gems must close due to government or public health mandates, an alternative program (such as virtual instruction) may be offered. Participation is optional; however, no refunds or credits will be issued if a family declines.
Late Pickup Policy
Timely pickup is essential.
- 10–20 minutes late: $20 fee
- More than 20 minutes late: Additional $10 per 10-minute interval
Repeated late pickups may result in loss of eligibility for future enrollment.
Behavior and Conduct Expectations (Students)
Students must follow staff instructions and behave safely and respectfully.
Repeated disruptive, aggressive, or unsafe behavior may result in removal from the program without refund.
Parent and Caregiver Conduct Expectations
Parents and caregivers must treat staff and other families with respect. Abusive or threatening behavior may result in termination of enrollment without refund.
Medical Emergencies and Emergency Care Authorization
Safety is our number one priority. In an emergency, staff may call 911 and/or transport a child to urgent care. Families are financially responsible for medical costs.
Photography and Media Use
Photos or videos may be used for documentation, newsletters, or marketing. Families may opt out in writing, though complete exclusion from group images cannot be guaranteed.
Personal Belongings and Valuables
Genius Gems is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
Drop-Off and Pick-Up Authorization
Children will only be released to authorized individuals. ID may be required.
Program Changes and Operational Adjustments
Genius Gems may adjust schedules, staffing, or use of space as needed. Such changes do not entitle families to refunds.
Medical Conditions, Allergies, and Dietary Considerations
Families must disclose medical conditions, allergies, and required medications in advance. Genius Gems cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
Bathroom Independence and Self-Care Expectations
Students must be fully toilet trained and able to use the bathroom independently.
Electronics and Personal Devices
Devices are discouraged. Genius Gems is not responsible for them.
Situations in Which No Refunds or Credits Will Be Issued
Refunds or credits will not be provided if a student:
- Is removed for behavioral reasons
- Misses classes for any reason
- Withdraws after deadlines
- Registers for the wrong class
- Is not fully potty trained
- Does not meet age requirements
Makeup Classes
Genius Gems allows a maximum of one (1) makeup class per student per semester.
Makeup classes:
- Must be scheduled during the same semester in which the absence occurred.
- Are subject to availability and must be arranged in advance with Genius Gems staff.
- May not be carried forward to a future semester.
- Do not entitle families to refunds or credits if not used.
No additional makeup classes, credits, or refunds will be provided for missed classes due to illness, travel, or any other reason beyond this single makeup allowance.
