On school-closed days, drop your child off for hands-on STEM: themed projects, big magnetic-tile builds and tokens to earn toward prizes, run by our own team. Book one day or several.

• Grades: Kindergarten (age 5 and up) – 6th grade

• Hours (Chelsea, NYC): 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM or 3:00 PM

Does your school have a different day off?

Tell us the date and your school, and we'll work with you to open a camp. We generally need at least 8 campers to run a day.

A day of STEM, built around a theme

Mini Camp is our day camp for the days school is closed. Kids work through the day's themed STEM projects, build big with magnetic tiles and earn tokens toward prizes, with our team from drop-off to pick-up.

Chelsea, NYC: Weather permitting, campers may walk to the local playground on 16th and 8th, depending on the season.

• Themed STEM projects — Usually two a day, built around the day's theme: Mad Science, Engineering & Tech, Code & Create or Design & Maker.
• Magnetic-tile builds — Big-format magnetic-tile building all day.
• Tokens and prizes — Kids earn tokens through the day and trade them in for prizes.
• Fully supervised — Our staff are with the children from drop-off to pick-up.

This season's themes

Each day picks one. Book a few and they'll see them all.

• Mad Science — Reactions, density towers, slime and the science behind them.
• Engineering & Tech — Circuits, motors, gears and structures that have to survive a shake test.
• Code & Create — Block coding to design games, and robots that run the programs they write.
• Design & Maker — Sketch it, prototype it, design it and take it home.

How it works

1. Pick your days — Choose the school-closed days that work for your family.
2. Book online — Reserve each day, and add pizza lunch or after-care where offered.
3. Drop off — Sign your child in at the door with a labeled lunch. We take it from there.
4. Pick up — Collect your child, and the day's creations, at the end of camp.

Before you book

• Kindergarten and up — Campers are age 5 and up and in Kindergarten or older.
• Fully toilet-trained
• Pack a labeled lunch, a snack and a labeled reusable water bottle — At NYC you can add a pizza lunch when you book.
• Dress to build — Clothes your child can build, play and get messy in.

Questions parents ask

What ages is Mini Camp for?

Age 5 and up, in Kindergarten or older, through 6th grade. Campers must be fully toilet-trained.

What should my child bring?

A labeled lunch, a snack and a labeled reusable water bottle. We provide every camp material.

Is lunch provided?

Please pack a labeled lunch. At NYC you can add a pizza lunch when you book, at an extra cost.

Do you offer after-care?

Yes, at our NYC location: after-care runs until 5:00 PM and is added when you book, at an extra cost. Millburn days end at pick-up time.

Can I book just one day?

Yes. Every day is booked on its own, so you can pick one or several.

What is an Interest Form day?

Some days open for booking only once enough families have said they'd come. Add your name to the Interest Form and we'll email you the moment the day opens.

Can I cancel?

Unfortunately we do not offer refunds for Mini Camp. The full terms are in our Mini Camp cancellation policy.
