Week 1: Coding and Robot Camp (Summer 2024 - Millburn)

$575.00

Welcome to the exciting world of coding and robots! This course is designed to introduce students to programming, engineering and the practical real-world applications for learning how to code! Designed by educators and computer programmers, our coding and robotics’ curriculum uses real world challenges to teach students the fundamentals of block coding through the use of robots and app-based coding programs, including the popular MicroBit microcontroller. Design your own computer game using MIT-designed Scratch; program Cubetto®️ to navigate an obstacle course, and design and paint a work of art by programming our Sphero®️ robot to paint! Campers will get to meet an Apple and Google alumni and game designer, and learn about how a computer scientist codes in the real world, including through the use of AI tools like ChatGPT. Students entering grades 4-6th will be introduced to text-based coding languages through Vex ®️ robotics and other programming tools.
