Engineering and Design Lab 2022
Engineering and Design Lab (1st, 2nd, 3rd Grade) Winter Session
Calling all engineers and inventors! Learn about the intersection of art and engineering through a series of hands-on engineering projects. Build your own bridge, design your own working motorized spin art machine, create an LED circuit paper card and more. An art component is incorporated into many of the projects. The projects will be different from the previous session.
Engineering Lab with 3D Printing (3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th grade) Winter Session
Calling all engineers and inventors! Learn about the intersection of art and engineering through a series of hands-on engineering projects. This course will focus on creating a foundation in engineering principles, as well as an understanding of how our design lab machines work. Students will design their own projects using gears, motors, LEDs and other electronic components. Students will also learn how to use Tinkercad, a 3D printing software, and they will also be introduced to the exciting world of 3D printing technology and real world applications, as well as our laser cutter machine. This course is a continuation of the fall session, but it is also open to new students as well.
